Over the years, effort have been put in to spruce up TC hoping to create more fun and attraction for new and old members. Previously recognition was given to Top 20 Tipsters, then extended to Top 50 so more members have a chance to look forward to something. So in the same breathe, this would be an interesting feature.
Bear in mind that the objective is not to shame the tipsters but rather as a form of encouragement to win something. We're already at the tail end of current season, it would be an added 'bonus' if it's going to happen soon. But if not feasible yet, perhaps next season onward. Just my 2 cents, thank you for reading.

Just my personal view bro. Don’t think it’s a good suggestion to implement. All members will want to strike for a placing in TOP 50 to earn prestigious award.

Dear Bro sayusayme, you are right that tipsters bet to win and not to lose. But things don't always turn out the way we want it to be. And as you mentioned, this is a fun competition and I'm pretty sure members won't mind as long as they win something and it's not degrading.
In this way, 50 extra medals would be created for 'deserving' winners. Either intentionally or not, at the end of the season, there's something for tipsters to talk or joke about in good faith.

Dear Mr AB, in fact the data for both ends of the spectrum can actually be very useful reference points. Take for example the current leader of the competition who amassed a total of $3.72 million, means there's a surplus of +$2.72 million minus the capital. On the other hand, the current bottom leader who's left with negative $5.11 million, means a loss of -$6.11 million including the capital. So who has a bigger margin of loss n profit here?
As to whether the proposal is relevant or welcomed by members, we can start a poll and hear GC members' views if necessary. Top winners will be awarded a medal, what about a plate for the bottom winners? Possible names can be Plate Winner, Consolation Winner, Reverse Winner, etc. Once awarded, nobody should be given the option to reject as they're 'deserving' winners.

I support this suggestion because it does give tipsters who are nearer the bottom than the top something to aim for. However, we should restrict the award to the bottom 10 or 20. The number should be lesser to the top 50 in order not to take the shine off the more prestigious award.
As for the medal itself, it can be shaped like a ‘wooden spoon’.

I can tell you mine, though I doubt you’re that interested. I challenge myself to bet on all the options and try to attain a postive win/ loss record at the end of it. If I finish in the top 50 or bottom 10, so be it but it shouldn’t happen both ways. Why do I not try hard, bet conservatively and try to get into the top 50? Because I have nothing more to prove to others or myself.
Others may perhaps use TC to do a trial to get their actual bets correct. Not everyone has the same agenda, be it TC or to justify their existence here.

Simple logic to this award. If a Tipster can consistently finish in the bottom 10, whatever his actual motive in TC is, his betting stats will be useful as a reverse indicator to help others with their $$$ bets. For that, he deserves an award.

Also to prevent those just outside the bottom 100 to employ this tactic in order to squeeze into the bottom 10 ( they’ll have to do many cancellations to achieve that in reality and it may not be possible even) on the last few days to squeeze into the bottom 10, we can even extend this waiver to the bottom 200 during those last days.
To keep it simple, we'll just employ both. In reality most people don't even cancel their bets (at most 3-5 times a season).
1. bottom 100 no cancellation penalty 2. more than 10 cancel bets in a season ineligible.
Whatever implementations & rulings you’ve settled on, do indicate these before the next TC season begins to be fair and accountable to all.

Could we be a little bit more generous? Please consider if possible. Everyone starts from scratch next season, so no question about fairness I suppose.

Yes, this bottom 10 medals can be rejected. Any award can be rejected if you choose to reject. Anything except yellow and red cards.

As I've said earlier, are you up to this game? Not easy to achieve bottom 10, to be frank. If you think you're god damn unlucky till lose 10 days continuously, there'll always be someone who's worse than you. Conclusion, nobody is on top all the time.

If not, don't u think that yr followers will be confuse by yr action if you post a desire picks in forum but place an opp bet in TC? One more thing is will the member get carded by posting an opp pick from his TC? I remember I saw a couple of members get carded because of this action.

Trial as in no medals at the end of it? Then dishonest members won’t resort to tricks/ loopholes. The trial would serve no purpose.

If they are your die-hard followers, after mentioning once or twice, they should already know. Admins will too bro. We will verify thoroughly before we dish out our cards. In any case, your position near the bottom of the TC table will tell a tale.

Always remember that apart from serving yourself in the pursuit of medals or perhaps even just killing time, TC serves the forum in that it provides useful stats for us with our actual bets. This is often overlooked. It was for this purpose that multinicks that finished in the top 50 were not disqualified but simply had their medals withheld.
If TC comes with no rewards at either end, a huge part of this intention is lost because most wont take TC seriously.

I understood, what I mean is when trial period ends, the medal still be given out. During this trial period, we can see will there be any problems arise that we can't think of it right now. From there then can know what are the improvement that can be made.

I believe this suggestion has truly taken off and more at the wrong end of the TC table are looking to attain the ‘rock’ medal than to avoid it.
This shows that appropriate changes and not status quo are needed to better the forum.
