Hi,

Pretty simple, backing a selection means you bet it to win, if selection wins, you win.

Laying a selection means you bet it not to win, if selection loses, you win.

Maybe you wanna check out http://www.asianbookie.com/p2pbetting.cfm

Cheers!

Your simple explanation is better than Berfair's help/faq. Thanks.

I was confuse with the liability at the beginning with their help. Just have to figure it yourself.

hi

honestly, i prefer betting on "lay"

for eg, you are betting on 1X2 market, Man U vs Chelsea.
Draw for lay is 4.00

To my understanding, how the liability works, is Say i go for lay on the draw, at odds 4.00, and my skate is $10.

Meaning if Man U or Chelsea win, I will win $10.
But if the match ends in a draw, I will lose $30. Why?($10 X 4.00)-$10.

of course, the catch is, your account will be deducted off $30 1st.

and if you win the bet, you will get back $40. (the deducted $30 + your win of the $10.)

any1 who feels i have a wrong interpretation on the lay and liability, pls highlight, afterall, forum is about sharing!

thanks!
